WHAT IS HYPNOSIS

HYPNOSIS is a tool to induce trance, which resembles a resting period that we all experience naturally every day just before falling asleep, or waking up, and during REM sleep or the Dream state. It also occurs during the day, and is recognised as DAY Dreaming every 90 to 120 minutes.

HYPNOSIS has been borrowed from the Greek word HYPNOS after the Greek God of sleep.

Hypnosis involves the utilisation of your unconscious mind, this is the part of you that is responsible for all your body processes such as regulating your heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, temperature, breathing, immune system etc.. Your unconscious mind also aids your conscious mind in the assimilation of information you process throughout  the day, without which your conscious mind would not be able to help.

Your unconscious mind knows everything about you, and it has all the answers to help you to heal your emotions & physical illnesses as well as guide you in the right direction in life.

Therefore Inducing a trance state helps the practitioner to contact your unconscious mind in order to guide you and help you to heal.

Apart from Hypnosis our practitioners are also trained in other specialist techniques which complement the Hypnosis state and are sometime used by themselves; such as Neuro Linguistic Programming, Cognitive Psychology & Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing.
